The LCCI Travel and Tourism Courses at Access College London
will prepare delegates for the LCCI Level 1 and Level 2 awards
in Travel and Tourism. Classes start at the beginning of each
college term and run for 12 weeks.

The First Level examination is intended for those candidates

The Second Level examination is primarily intended for candidates
who are already working within the industry. It is also suitable
for candidates who are preparing to enter the industry and who
have some prior knowledge of travel and tourism.

Course Aims
The aim of this course is to equip delegates with knowledge
and understanding of:
- the main components and products of the travel and tourism industry
- the characteristics of different types of tourism
- the working roles of people employed in the travel and tourism industry.
The Examination
Candidates will be assessed by means of a 2 hour examination
consisting of 8 questions. Candidates must answer 4 questions.
LCCI Level 2 Certificate in Travel and Tourism
Travel and Tourism at LCCI Second Level is made up
of 4 syllabus topics:
- Geography of tourism
- The impacts of tourism
- Tourist motivation
- Skills for key sectors of the travel industry
Course Aims
The aim of this course is to equip delegates with knowledge
and understanding of:
- the domestic and international movement of tourists and the main factors affecting these.
- the economic, social, cultural and environmental impact of tourism
- what motivates people to travel
- the skills expected of people working in the tourism industry.
The Examination
Candidates will be assessed by means of a 2½ hour examination,
consisting of 9 questions. Candidates will be required to answer
4 questions.
Entry Requirement: Intermediate level of English
Duration: 36 Weeks
